| | World Garden, Cedar Mount School
Gorton, Manchester Waste ground was transformed into a £60,000 'world garden' - a theme chosen to reflect the school's multicultural population. Features such as a giant yin-yang mosaic, a totem pole and steel African masks blend with an amphitheatre seating area and two summer houses to provide a teaching, recreational and therapeutic space.
Project funding came from a partnership between East Manchester Re-Development Fund and the London-based technology and consulting company Accenture. | |
